Shingles from Owens Corning and CertainTeed

Most of our residential work consists of the installation of either CertainTeed or Owens Corning asphalt roofing shingles. As stated above, we carry the highest level of installer certification from both of these companies, which allows us to offer product *and* workmanship warranties.

These shingles come in a wide variety of colors to easily match the existing look of your home.

Composite Roofing from Enviroshake and DaVinci

Enviroshake shingles typically include composite cedar and slate shingles. Composite roofing is an ideal choice for homeowners who want the look of cedar or slate but do not want the maintenance and shorter life associated with real wood, or the high cost and maintenance of natural slate. These shingles are made from recycled materials — mostly reprocessed post-industrial polymers, elastomers, and fibers. Enviroshake products look like real cedar because they have real wood fibers in them, which gives them unmatched performance and durability. Additionally, Enviroshake shingles come with a Lifetime Warranty, which is further complemented with full transferability for up to 50 years.

Black slate shingles

Real Slate

Unlike faux slate tiles, real slate shingles are made of metamorphic rocks that come from sedimentary rocks of volcanic ash and clay. Comprising of 100 percent natural stone, slate shingles have a natural cleft surface with picturesque color variation extending over the entire roof. Due to their winning combination of durability and aesthetic appeal, slate shingles are a popular choice for historic homes. Slate shingles are also highly resistant to fire, inclement weather, and other hazards. With a long lifespan of at least 100 years, real slate is the most durable roofing materials out there.

Gray home with dark Cedar Shakes roof

Cedar Shakes

Cedar shakes are rustic looking roofing shingles made from split logs and have been used in roofing for several decades. The main difference between cedar shingles and cedar shakes is that while shingles are typically milled with a saw, shakes are hand-split from a log. Cedar shakes are thicker, more irregular, and create a charming rustic appearance. When it comes to insulation, cedar shakes create a protective barrier that keeps hot sunlight during the day and cold winds at night from permeating your attic and living areas. Cedar shakes are extremely durable and naturally beautiful, adding a tremendous curb appeal to your home.

Several metal roofing colors

Metal

Typical copper, aluminum, or steel metal roofing have become increasingly popular alternatives to traditional asphalt shingles. Metal shingles are durable, lightweight, and highly energy-efficient, and come in a wide variety of shapes and styles. Homes with metal roofs have added protection from hazards such as a fire. However, the biggest downside to metal roofing is corrosion, but there are options available to reduce the risk of corrosion and rust when installing metal roof shingles in your home. Pinnacle Roofing recommends galvanization to mitigate the effects of corrosion and rust commonly associated with metal roofs.
